Marble Samples

Marbles are metamorphic rocks formed by sediments of living organisms and minerals on the bottom of ancient seas. Most have distinctive veins and fissures. This type of stone is suitable for fireplaces and certain hallways, but it is especially well suited for floors and walls in bathrooms. When used in hallways and foyers marble may not withstand the heavy traffic, especially if a glossy finish has been used. The available finishes for marble include: polished, honed or tumbled (tiles).
